One day after a New York investment group raised $110,000 for Republican Rep. Jerry Lewis (news, bio, voting record), the House passed a defense spending bill that preserved $160 million for a Navy project critical to the firm. The man who protected the Navy money? Lewis.

Republican sheep will dismiss this as a non-story and claim it made news only because of the "liberal bias" in the media.

Nah, just the liberal bias in the BenUser.

Liberal bias in the media would be the lack of coverage of Democrats involved with Jack Abramoff.

Of course, liberal sheep on JoeUser will try to play my comment off as an attempt to exonerate Tom DeLay, rather than addressing its subject directly.

You really can't learn, can you. You were fine until "Republican sheep..."

If the guy's a crook & on the take, let him do the perp walk, whether Republican or Democrat. Corruption is an equal-opportunity employer.

I hear Republican sheep have more regressive but fiscally responsible wool than Democrat sheep.

Hmm, I see.  So if I contribute to candidate X, then that forbids him from voting on any of my issues?

Great logic!  Now want to post the controversy on the other 534 members of congress?  All got them!

lame BU.  Very lame.

Congrats Ben you have gotten more replies then I did for my Coruption Story in Congress: Link

But while I did here about your story in the news, I have not heard anything about Rep Jefferson (D) from LA, in the MSM.

Maybe it's time we just face the reality. Each Senator and Representative has their own reasons for being in office and the whole "Republican" "Democrat" leadership thing comes secondary to those reasons? Hmmmmm
